Two children were killed and three civilians injured in Houthi attacks on Yemen's Taiz province over 24 hours, Turkey's state-run news agency Anadolu Agency reported Saturday.

The Yemen Network for Rights and Freedoms documented 21 Houthi crimes and violations in Taiz governorate, including the firing of around 213 projectiles at residential areas. The group said three civilians, including two women, were wounded, and four residents were abducted and taken to unknown locations.

Houthi forces also raided and looted three homes in the al-Hujariya area south of Taiz, damaging seven others, including two that were completely destroyed. The rights group accused the Houthis of maintaining a siege and restrictions on civilian movement and essential supplies.

The group urged the international community to protect Taiz residents from repeated shelling and siege, warning that residents and health facilities were struggling to cope with the crisis. The Houthis did not immediately comment on the allegations.

Yemen has been embroiled in conflict since 2014, when Houthi forces seized Sanaa and several other provinces, prompting a Saudi-led coalition to intervene in support of the internationally recognized government. The conflict escalated in July, with Yemeni government forces launching Operation Dawn of Yemen on October 5 to regain control of state institutions from the Houthis and recapture Sanaa.

The ongoing conflict has resulted in widespread humanitarian suffering, with civilians often bearing the brunt of the violence. The international community has repeatedly called for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
