Israeli forces carried out airstrikes and gunfire on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of two Palestinians and injuries to several others, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported on Friday.

Medical sources said a strike near Al Suwaidi Clinic in western Gaza City killed the two Palestinians, while another strike near Engineers Tower injured several people, one critically. A Palestinian was also wounded by Israeli fire south of Al Mawasi in Khan Younis.

The Gaza Strip's death toll since October 7, 2023, has reached 74,498, with 175,616 injured, according to medical sources. Israeli forces have continued to violate the ceasefire that took effect last October through airstrikes, artillery shelling, and gunfire.

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has been ongoing for decades, with periods of relative calm punctuated by outbreaks of violence.

The Gaza Strip, home to approximately 2 million people, has been under blockade since 2007, leading to significant economic and humanitarian challenges.

The recent violence is part of a broader pattern of tensions in the region, with both sides accusing each other of violating agreements and engaging in hostile actions.

The international community has repeatedly called for a lasting resolution to the conflict, but a peaceful solution remains elusive.
