The Pakistani government has launched a breast cancer awareness campaign, encouraging women to take an active role in their health and seek medical attention if they have concerns, the Press Information Department (PID) said in a statement.

The initiative, launched on Breast Cancer Awareness Day, aims to reduce fear and uncertainty associated with the disease by promoting early detection and treatment.

Women are being encouraged to be attentive to changes in their health and consult qualified healthcare professionals if they have concerns. Families are also being urged to play a supportive role, creating a comfortable environment for women to discuss their health concerns and seek medical care.

The government has called on healthcare professionals, community organizations, civil society, media, and educational institutions to help create greater awareness about breast cancer and encourage women to seek appropriate care.

The campaign also recognizes the strength of women living with breast cancer and those who have undergone treatment, as well as the efforts of doctors, nurses, healthcare workers, volunteers, patient organizations, and media workers who work to create awareness and support affected women.

Breast cancer is a significant health concern in Pakistan, with many women facing fear and uncertainty when diagnosed.

The Press Information Department, part of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, is leading the government's efforts to disseminate information and raise awareness about breast cancer.

Pakistan has been taking steps to improve healthcare services and awareness about various health issues, including breast cancer, in recent years.
