Palestinian Forces Stress Importance of National Dialogue for Unity

Palestinian National and Islamic Forces met on Monday to stress the importance of a successful national dialogue to achieve unity and protect the Palestinian people from Israeli aggression, the Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA) said in a statement.

They emphasized that threats by Israeli officials to deny Palestinians their rights are part of a comprehensive war against them. 

The forces said these threats reflect Israel's refusal to recognize international legitimacy resolutions and called for the international community to impose sanctions and hold Israel accountable for its crimes.

The forces commended global support for the Palestinian people and called for a comprehensive boycott of Israel due to escalating aggression. They also highlighted the need to protect Palestinian prisoners from continued abuse and neglect.

They urged international institutions to hold Israel accountable for its crimes and ensure prisoner protection. They stressed the importance of holding legislative and presidential elections and continuing efforts to elect the Palestinian National Council.

The occupation's aggression had prevented elections from being held in November this year. The forces emphasized that serious international pressure is essential to ensure elections can be held.

The meeting took place amid ongoing Israeli aggression, destruction, and siege in the Gaza Strip and West Bank.
