The honor was bestowed upon him at a ceremony in New York, where Qatar's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, received the medal on his behalf, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
The association's president, Noel Lateef, praised the Amir's leadership and commitment to mediation, dialogue, and diplomatic engagement.
He noted that the honor acknowledges the Amir's significant contributions to advancing international peace and security.
Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, in her acceptance remarks, conveyed the Amir's appreciation for the honor and highlighted Qatar's role as a mediator and advocate for peace.
She emphasized that Qatar's foreign policy is guided by the principles of peaceful dispute resolution, respect for international law, and the protection of civilians.
