Two people, including Honey Singh's nephew, Vidit Olak, were killed in a road accident in Indian Punjab on Saturday while returning home from a friend's birthday celebration, Indian media reported.

The victims, Vidit Olak, the nephew of Indian rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh, and his friend Aarav Talwar, son of the owner of Jalandhar's Pappy Sweets, were travelling back home after attending the birthday ceremony of their friend.

The crash occurred when their Volkswagen veered off course and hit a Municipal Corporation tractor-trolley parked on the road by sanitation workers cleaning the flyover.

Yo Yo Honey Singh, whose real name is Hirdesh Singh, expressed his grief on Instagram, writing, "It is a dark decade for me. Loss of my nephew is devastating."

The incident has sparked an outpouring of condolences on social media for the families of the two young men.
