Trump Open to Inviting Ukraine's Zelenskyy to G20 Summit
US President Donald Trump said he would invite Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the G20 summit in Florida, Turkey's state-run news agency Anadolu Agency reported.

US President Donald Trump expressed willingness to invite Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the G20 summit in Florida in December, Turkey's state-run news agency Anadolu Agency reported on Sunday.
The summit is scheduled to take place at the Trump National Doral resort in Miami on December 14-15, with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirming in September that Russian President Vladimir Putin had been invited despite Russia's ongoing conflict with Ukraine.
Trump made the statement while speaking to reporters at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, responding to a question about extending an invitation to Zelenskyy, saying "I would. I would. No problem."
Rubio indicated on Saturday that the decision to invite Zelenskyy rested with Trump and suggested that an invitation could be considered if it helped advance diplomatic efforts, although no formal invitation to Zelenskyy has been announced.
Earlier in his exchange with reporters, Trump mentioned having spoken with Zelenskyy and expressed optimism about the prospects of ending the war.
Ukraine is not a G20 member but has previously participated in meetings as an invited guest.
Background
The G20 summit will bring together leaders from major economies to discuss global issues, with the ongoing conflict in Ukraine likely to be a significant topic of discussion.
The US invitation to Putin has been met with criticism, given Russia's actions in Ukraine, and the potential presence of both Putin and Zelenskyy at the summit could lead to tense interactions.
