Israeli forces fire tear gas at West Bank school, detain teacher
Several Palestinian students were exposed to tear gas in Al-Mughayyir village, and the school entrance was blocked, local sources said.

Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters toward a school in the occupied West Bank village of Al-Mughayyir on Wednesday, exposing several Palestinian students, Turkey's state-run news agency Anadolu Agency reported.
Local sources said the canisters were fired toward the school, which is in the village northeast of Ramallah.
The sources did not say how many students were affected by the gas.
The forces also detained a teacher and blocked the entrance to the school, the sources said, without saying what happened to the teacher afterward.
The sources added that villages and towns in the area have faced repeated Israeli military raids and attacks targeting Palestinians and their property.
Israeli military operations and violence against Palestinians have escalated across the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, since Israel began its war on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, according to Palestinian and UN data.
Israel has occupied the West Bank since 1967, when it captured the territory during the Six-Day War.
Parts of the West Bank are administered by the Palestinian Authority under interim arrangements agreed in the 1990s Oslo Accords, while Israel retains security control over large areas, including much of the countryside around Ramallah.
Schools in the occupied territory have often been affected by the broader pattern of military activity, and the incident at Al-Mughayyir adds to a series of reported confrontations in the area.
