President Asif Ali Zardari has called for the adoption of research-based, technology-driven solutions to improve healthcare services in Pakistan, the state broadcaster Radio Pakistan reported.

He made these remarks during a meeting with Siemens' Executive Vice President Daniel Frisch and Head of Siemens government affairs, Veronika Pfister, in Berlin.

The President highlighted Pakistan's appreciation for German industrial, technological, and infrastructural support, particularly from Siemens' health division, which has a significant presence in Pakistan with over 100 employees in three major cities, including Karachi.

He suggested that Siemens diversify its investments in Pakistan, leveraging its international expertise, across other social and industrial sectors.

The President assured that the Special Investment Facilitation Council would provide full institutional cooperation to facilitate this.

The Siemens delegation informed the President that their representatives will soon visit Pakistan to sign MoUs with local partners in capacity building and technological domains in the health industry.
