Qatar Launches Youth Council to Empower Young People in Policymaking
Qatar has launched a youth council to boost young people's role in national policymaking and future planning, Qatar's state news agency QNA reported.

Qatar has established a new youth council aimed at giving young people a stronger voice in the country's development and policymaking, Qatar News Agency (QNA) said in a statement.
The Qatar Youth Council for Future-Making was launched by the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the National Planning Council. It will provide a platform for young people to discuss issues affecting them and contribute to policy development.
The council's objectives and working mechanisms were reviewed at its inaugural meeting, which was attended by high-ranking officials and council members.
The council aims to empower young people to become active partners in Qatar's development, rather than just implementing plans. It will help turn young people's ideas into practical solutions and ensure that their recommendations are translated into policies and programmes.
Qatar's Minister of Sports and Youth, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Thani, said investing in young people is an investment in the nation's future and prosperity. He added that the ministry is committed to providing platforms for young people to express their views and participate in national discussions.
The council is seen as a key step towards achieving Qatar National Vision 2030, which aims to empower young people and involve them in future planning and development.
Qatar has a strong focus on youth development and empowerment, with a range of initiatives aimed at fostering participation, responsibility, and innovation among young people. The country has also made significant investments in education and training programmes to help young people develop the skills they need to contribute to the economy and society.
The youth council is expected to play a crucial role in shaping Qatar's future and ensuring that young people are equipped to lead change and turn national aspirations into tangible achievements.
