The US has warned several Gulf Arab countries to prepare for a short, intense military campaign against Iran after the November 3 midterm elections, Turkey's state-run news agency Anadolu Agency reported on Wednesday.

The warnings were conveyed through diplomatic and military channels to several countries in the region.

The US military is bolstering its presence in the Middle East with additional troops and equipment, including a Patriot missile defense system being moved from Texas.

US forces are also restocking munitions and preparing bombers and fighter jets for potential strikes.

An additional aircraft carrier strike group and a Marine expeditionary unit are expected to join the roughly 20 US warships already in the region.

President Donald Trump has not made a final decision on military action but is leaning toward a large-scale attack after the midterms.

Such an attack could target Iranian infrastructure and nuclear sites.

The White House has declined to comment on sensitive military plans.

Trump has previously stated that he will not attack Iran before the midterms.

The US and Israel have been preparing for a new round of heavy combat operations to weaken Iran and push it toward negotiations.

The US and Iran have a long-standing conflict, with tensions escalating in recent years.

The Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global energy supplies, was effectively closed by Iranian missile and drone attacks in the region.

The situation remains volatile, with the potential for military action and its consequences uncertain.
