Yemen swears in three new ministers before President al-Alimi
Judge Akram Naseeb Ahmed al-Amri, Salem Abubakr Mohammed Thabit al-Awlaki and Ahmed Saleh Ahmed al-Awlaqi took their oaths as ministers on Wednesday.

Three new ministers in Yemen's internationally recognised government took the constitutional oath on Wednesday before Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Rashad al-Alimi, the news agency of Yemen's internationally recognised government Saba (Government) reported.
Judge Akram Naseeb Ahmed al-Amri was sworn in as Minister of Civil Service and Pensions after his appointment.
Salem Abubakr Mohammed Thabit al-Awlaki took the oath as Minister of Information following his appointment.
Ahmed Saleh Ahmed al-Awlaqi took the oath as Minister of Local Administration following his appointment.
After the ceremonies, al-Alimi met the new ministers and congratulated them on their appointments.
He wished them success in carrying out their national duties.
Al-Alimi urged the ministers to work as a unified team with the Prime Minister and the rest of the government.
He also called on them to coordinate the work of their ministries with the wider government.
Yemen's internationally recognised government has been fighting Houthi forces, who control the capital, Sanaa, and much of the north after seizing the city in 2014.
UN agencies have described Yemen as one of the world's largest humanitarian crises, with millions of people dependent on aid.
The Presidential Leadership Council was formed in April 2022 to take over executive authority from former President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, and cabinet changes have been a regular part of its work since then.
