Bangladesh have named a 15-member squad for the ICC Women's Emerging Nations Trophy in the United Arab Emirates, which starts on Nov. 12, the International Cricket Council (ICC) said in a statement.

Nahida Akter will lead the side in her first event as captain, having succeeded Nigar Sultana Joty in the role last month.

Bangladesh are in Group B with Pakistan, Thailand, the Netherlands and Zimbabwe in the 10-team tournament.

Sobhana Mostary has been retained as vice-captain to support Nahida Akter, while Sultana Joty remains in the squad and will continue to play without the captaincy.

Key pace bowler Marufa Akter will miss the event because of an ongoing ankle problem.

Disha Biswas returns to the squad after missing Bangladesh's Asian Games campaign in September.

Opener Sathi Rani and all-rounder Jannatul Ferdus Sumona are recalled, while batter Sharmin Sultana and off-spinner Sultana Khatun miss out on selection.

Bangladesh open their tournament against Pakistan at Karwan Cricket Ground in Ajman on Nov. 12.

The full squad is Nahida Akter (captain), Sobhana Mostary (vice-captain), Dilara Akter, Sharmin Akter Supta, Shorna Akter, Disha Biswas, Juairiya Ferdous, Jannatul Ferdus Sumona, Rabeya Khan, Fahima Khatun, Shanjida Akther Maghla, Ritu Moni, Sathi Rani, Nigar Sultana Joty and Fariha Islam Trisna.

The Women's Emerging Nations Trophy is a multi-team event for emerging women's cricket nations, organised by the ICC.

Bangladesh's opening match against Pakistan gives both sides an early test in a group that also includes Thailand, the Netherlands and Zimbabwe.
