India's Prasidh Krishna Ruled Out of New Zealand ODI Series
India's Prasidh Krishna out of New Zealand ODI series due to fitness issues, the International Cricket Council (ICC) said.
India's right-arm pacer Prasidh Krishna has been ruled out of the upcoming five-match ODI series against New Zealand due to fitness concerns, the International Cricket Council (ICC) said on Friday.
Krishna, who was part of the initial squad pending a fitness test, has been recovering from a hamstring injury sustained during India's tour of England and requires more time to build up his workload.
The India squad for the first three ODIs includes Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Shreyas Iyer, with Nitish Kumar Reddy joining the squad for the first ODI.
Reddy will then join the India A squad for match practice ahead of the two-match ICC World Test Championship series against New Zealand.
Mohammed Siraj will also join the India A squad for the second four-day game in preparation for the Test series.
The India ODI squad for the fourth and fifth ODIs will be led by Shreyas Iyer and includes changes to the playing XI.
The fourth ODI is scheduled for November 13 in Mount Maunganui.
