Local sources said one of the detainees was documenting alleged occupation crimes, and that another man with a disability was seized near his home.

Israeli forces detained three Palestinians, including a journalist, on Friday evening in Hebron and Masafer Yatta, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.

Local sources said forces detained journalist Musab Shawar while he was carrying out his work and documenting what they called the occupation's crimes in Beit Awwa, west of Hebron.

The sources said troops also assaulted another Palestinian during the incident in Beit Awwa.

Separately, the sources said forces detained Mohammad Yousef Makhmareh, a person with a disability, from Khirbet al-Markaz in Masafer Yatta.

The sources said Makhmareh was seized after forces allegedly attempted to steal his sheep while he was grazing them near his home.

They added that Makhmareh lost a hand years ago when a landmine left behind by the occupation exploded.

The report also said forces detained another Palestinian in the Farsh al-Hawa area of Hebron.

Masafer Yatta is a group of herding communities in the South Hebron Hills, where Israel has declared large areas closed for military training and residents have long faced demolitions and disputes over access to land.

Hebron is the largest Palestinian city in the West Bank, and Israeli forces have controlled parts of it, including the Old City, where movement restrictions have been in place for years.
