Zangeneh reportedly raised objections to Pakistan's mediation role during a recent visit to Kabul.
The Pakistani Foreign Office said it was not sure about the authenticity and context of Zangeneh's statement. However, the Iranian leadership, including members of the Iranian parliament, have expressed gratitude for Pakistan's mediation role.
Foreign Office spokesperson Sajjad Haider Khan said that Iranian lawmakers have also supported Pakistan's constructive role in the region.
Khan stated that Pakistan remains committed to working for peace and stability in the region.
The Iranian lawmaker allegedly claimed that some tweets by Pakistani individuals were written by Americans.
