Pakistan - ARY News

Two teenage girls who went missing from Punjab's Lodhran district were safely recovered in Karachi's Defence Housing Authority area on Sunday, police officials confirmed.

Police said the girls, aged 14 and 15, were found wandering alone in DHA Phase 7 Extension and were taken into custody after police acted quickly on a tip.

A case of their disappearance had been registered at the relevant police station in Lodhran, and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz had also taken serious notice of the disappearance of the teenage girls,  ARY News reported.

Police officials added that the Lodhran District Police Officer was in contact with Defence police, and the girls would soon be handed over to Punjab Police.

In a separate case, a 22-year-old woman from Green Town went missing from Lahore General Hospital, where she was receiving treatment, and details of that case were also reported.

She had fainted near Chungi Amar Sidhu while on her way to university, and rescue officials took her to the hospital for medical aid.

She went missing from the hospital during treatment, and police said they reached the site and started an investigation into the incident.

Missing-person cases involving minors often require coordination between police in different districts and provinces before a child can be returned to her family.
