Hadramout governor hands out security vehicles to police forces
The vehicles are meant to upgrade the operational capabilities of security and police units on Hadramout's coast.

Hadramout Governor Salem al-Khanbashi started handing out security vehicles to police on the Hadramout coast on Sunday, the news agency of Yemen's internationally recognised government Saba (Government) reported.
The launch took place in the city of Mukalla, the provincial capital, where the first batch of vehicles was allocated to the security and police forces.
Al-Khanbashi is a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Yemen's eight-member presidential body, and he leads the governorate.
The distribution was made possible with support from the local authority in Hadramout and the leadership of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, the report said.
The effort is part of a wider push to upgrade the operational capabilities of the security institution, the report added.
Officials said the goal is to make security forces better prepared to carry out their duty of maintaining security and stability in the province.
Hadramout is the largest governorate in Yemen, stretching across the country's east, and it has seen periods of security concern in recent years, including attacks by armed groups.
The Presidential Leadership Council was formed in April 2022 to take over executive authority from former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, and it is backed by the Saudi-led Coalition to Support Legitimacy, which intervened in Yemen's war in 2015.
