ICC names three nominees for Women's Player of the Month
Deepti, Sobhana Mostary and Annabel Sutherland were shortlisted for October's award after strong performances with bat and ball across three countries.
Three players, including India all-rounder Deepti, have been named nominees for the ICC Women's Player of the Month award for October, the International Cricket Council (ICC) said on Thursday.
Deepti, 29, was recognized for her October performances against Zimbabwe, including her second one-day international century in Vadodara and three wickets in a 121-run win that gave India the three-match series.
She also hit a quickfire 49 in the first T20 international in Raipur, helping India to victory, and took two wickets in the rest of the series, which India won by sweeping it.
Bangladesh's Sobhana Mostary scored 118 off 134 balls against Australia in Brisbane, the highest one-day international score by a Bangladesh women's player, hitting 18 boundaries in the innings.
Her knock helped Bangladesh total 220 for six from their 50 overs, although the team lost the match and the series.
Mostary finished the three-game one-day series with 129 runs at an average of 43, the ICC said.
Australia's Annabel Sutherland was also nominated for her all-round form in October, which included a four-wicket haul and an unbeaten 25 in the opening one-day international against Bangladesh, a seven-wicket win for Australia.
In the series finale, Sutherland made an unbeaten 74 and took two wickets, ending the 50-over series with 99 runs and six wickets.
Against New Zealand, she picked up one wicket and scored 19 runs from two completed T20 internationals to close out the month.
The ICC's release included video clips of Mostary and Sutherland from the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 matches against Australia's opponents, Bangladesh and England.
