Raids reached Jenin, Nablus and several other towns and camps, with homes searched and a young man detained in Askar camp.

Israeli forces detained six Palestinians across several West Bank towns and refugee camps on Saturday, Turkey's state-run news agency Anadolu Agency reported.

In Jenin, in the northern West Bank, five Palestinians were seized during raids in the city and taken to a location that was not disclosed, local sources said.

In Nablus, the official Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that troops entered Askar refugee camp east of the city, searched a number of homes and detained a young man after breaking into his family's house.

Soldiers also raided Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus, where they searched several houses and tore through their contents, Wafa reported.

Other raids reached al-Zawiya, west of Salfit, Tammun, south of Tubas, the Iktaba suburb east of Tulkarem, and al-Amari refugee camp, south of Ramallah, although local sources said no arrests were made in those areas.

Arrest operations of this kind are carried out almost daily across the occupied West Bank, targeting men, women and children.

The raids often involve assaults on family members and the damage or destruction of household belongings.

Around 9,350 Palestinian prisoners, including 350 children and 90 women, are held in Israeli prisons, the report said.

Human rights organizations say detainees face torture, starvation and medical neglect, and that these conditions have led to the deaths of dozens of prisoners.

Israel captured the West Bank in the 1967 Middle East war, and the territory's future remains a central issue in efforts to reach a Israeli-Palestinian peace settlement.
