Israeli forces wounded a Palestinian child and detained two men during raids in several parts of the occupied West Bank on Saturday, Anadolu Agency, Turkey's state-run news agency, reported.

Palestine TV said the child was shot in the foot during a raid close to Kafr Saba, a neighborhood of Qalqilya in the north of the territory.

The two men were taken into custody in separate places, according to Wafa, the official Palestinian news agency. One was arrested at his home in Hebron and the other in Taybeh, east of Ramallah, where troops also confiscated the detained man's car.

Wafa said soldiers in Hebron searched a second home, kept the family shut inside a single room and wrecked their belongings. Also in Hebron, hundreds of settlers, guarded by the army, entered the Old City and made shop owners close their stores. Settlers also went after a Palestinian house on Al-Shuhada Street and broke its windows.

Settlers carried out other attacks elsewhere. West of Jenin, they assaulted Palestinians harvesting olives and made off with a tractor and part of the harvest. In Kisan, east of Bethlehem, a settler beat a Palestinian man and took his possessions.

Wafa also reported confrontations between Palestinians and Israeli soldiers during raids on Dura al-Qara and Ni'lin, both near Ramallah. In Tulkarem province, troops entered four towns, held up traffic and threw stun grenades, but no one was reported hurt or arrested.

Voice of Palestine radio said more raids took place in towns and villages around Bethlehem, Nablus, Tubas, Jenin and Ramallah.

Since October 2023, Israeli military raids and settler violence have grown more frequent throughout the West Bank, East Jerusalem included. Reports describe killings, arrests, home demolitions and Palestinian communities being forced from their land.
