The ceasefire allowed aid deliveries and the voluntary departure of residents who chose to leave the city, the ombudswoman said.

Russian and Ukrainian sides honored all their commitments during a ceasefire in the Alyoshki humanitarian mission zone in Kherson Region on Monday, Russia's state news agency TASS reported.

Russian Human Rights Ombudswoman Yana Lantratova said the ceasefire had ended and that both sides had kept to the arrangement.

"All commitments were honored by both sides," Lantratova wrote in a post on her channel on the Max messenger.

She said the arrangement made it possible to deliver aid to residents and to ensure the safe, voluntary departure of those who chose to leave the city.

Lantratova added that efforts are underway to continue the humanitarian operations in the area.

"It is important to maintain the cooperation that has helped people and to ensure that the delivery of humanitarian supplies becomes regular," she said.

Alyoshki, also known as Oleshky, is a town on the Dnipro River in Kherson Region, an area that has been under Russian control since the early months of the war that began in 2022.

Humanitarian access to communities along the Dnipro has been a recurring concern since the fighting began, and both sides have at times agreed to local pauses in fighting to allow civilians to leave or receive supplies.

The statement suggests that residents who wish to leave can do so under the arrangement, and that aid deliveries could become more regular if the cooperation continues.
