Yemen's internationally recognised government named three new ministers on Monday in a cabinet reshuffle, the news agency of Yemen's internationally recognised government Saba (Government) reported.

The changes were made through Republican Decree No. 74 of 2026, which amends Decree No. 3 of 2026 on the formation of the government and the appointment of its members.

Salem Abubakr Mohammed Thabit al-Awlaki was appointed Minister of Information.

Judge Akram Naseeb Ahmed al-Amiri was named Minister of Civil Service and Insurance.

Ahmed Saleh Ahmed al-Awlaki was appointed Minister of Local Administration.

The decree took effect on the date it was issued and is to be published in the Official Gazette.

The appointments concern the government led by Dr. Shaya Zindani, whose cabinet was set up earlier this year under Republican Decree No. 3 of 2026.

Yemen's internationally recognised government operates largely from the southern port city of Aden, while the Houthi movement controls the capital Sanaa and much of the north.

The country has been split between rival authorities since the Houthis seized Sanaa in 2014, and a Saudi-led coalition intervened in 2015 to support the government.

The ministries affected oversee information and media policy, public sector employment and insurance, and local administration, areas that shape how government services are delivered at the local level.
