Czech police are investigating nine aircraft after anonymous bomb threats targeted flights at Prague Airport on Friday, Turkey's state-run news agency Anadolu Agency reported.

The threats were aimed at nine flights, four arriving and five departing, Prague Airport spokeswoman Denisa Hejtmankova said.

Hejtmankova said all nine aircraft were on the ground and were being checked by police, according to the broadcaster CNN Prima News.

Police said in a post on the social media platform X that threats claiming explosive devices had been placed on board several planes flying to and from Prague had been received again on Friday.

The airport said the added security measures would not significantly disrupt its operations.

A similar threat came on Thursday, when four aircraft bound for Prague and parts of the airport were targeted.

Subsequent inspections by explosives experts found no explosives or other dangerous objects.

Bomb threats have also disrupted several commercial flights across Europe in recent days, though the source does not link those incidents to the Prague cases.

Prague Airport is the main international gateway to the Czech capital and serves as a major hub for travel in the country.

Such anonymous threats typically prompt airports and police to search aircraft and terminals before flights are cleared, which can cause delays even when no device is found.
