Carlson's post, which was cut off mid-sentence, links the possible strike to Israeli intelligence claims about Iran's nuclear activity.

The Trump administration may be within days of launching a nuclear strike on Iran, renowned US journalist Tucker Carlson said in a post on X on Monday.

Carlson said the target would be Pickax Mountain in central Iran, where he wrote that Israeli intelligence claims the Iranian government has restarted its work.

The post stopped mid-sentence, so the rest of the claim about what Iran has restarted cannot be confirmed from the text.

Carlson said the administration is acting under pressure from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The post did not include an official statement from the US government confirming that a strike was being planned.

Pickax Mountain is widely reported to sit near the Natanz nuclear complex, a site that has been central to international concern over Iran's enrichment program.

The United States and Israel struck Iranian nuclear sites in June 2025, and Iran has long said its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes.

Carlson, a former Fox News host who now runs an independent show, has been a prominent critic of US military action in the Middle East.

Any US decision to strike Iran would carry significant consequences for the region and for global energy markets, and officials in Washington and Tehran have not commented on the claims in the post.
