Houthis claim strikes on Riyadh airport and Aramco sites

The rebels also claimed heavy losses among Saudi forces, including troops stationed inside Yemen, in what the spokesman described as six operations.

They hit King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and several Saudi Aramco sites, Yemen's Houthi rebels claimed on Saturday, Russia's state news agency TASS reported.

The group's military spokesman, Yahya Saria, said in a statement on Telegram that the rebels had conducted six operations using a large number of ballistic and cruise missiles, along with drones.

Saria said the rebels first targeted the airport, then fired on Aramco oil storage tanks and equipment in Riyadh.

He said further attacks hit Aramco facilities near the Khurais oil field and a pumping station in Ad-Dawadimi, in central Saudi Arabia.

Saria also claimed that a Saudi National Guard camp in Najran, in the country's south, was struck, and that Saudi troops deployed in Yemen's Al-Jawf and Marib provinces came under attack.

He said the strikes had caused heavy losses among Saudi forces.

The report did not include independent confirmation of the claims.

The Houthis have been fighting Saudi-backed government forces in Yemen since August 2014.

In July 2026, the rebels declared a naval blockade of Saudi Arabia and attacked several of the kingdom's oil tankers.

In early August, the Ansar Allah movement took control of the port city of Mocha and areas along the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait.

On Oct. 4, Yemen's government forces announced a large-scale military operation to retake territory held by the rebels.
