Israeli forces seize 9 dunums of Palestinian land in Jordan Valley
The order targets private land in Khirbet al-Hadidiya and is tied to a planned military road, according to a Tubas Governorate official.
Israeli forces issued a military order on Tuesday to take about 9 dunums of privately owned Palestinian land in Khirbet al-Hadidiya in the Northern Jordan Valley, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.
The order gives a reason of building a military road in the area, the agency said.
Moataz Bisharat, the official in charge of the settlements file in the Tubas Governorate, said the affected land lies in Basin 228, Basin 230 and Basin 234, across parts of several plots.
The report places the order within a wider Israeli effort to extend control over the Northern Jordan Valley by seizing Palestinian land and building military roads.
The report says such measures cut off Palestinian communities, limit residents' movement and make it harder for farmers to reach their fields.
In November 2025, Israeli forces had issued an earlier order to seize hundreds of dunums of land in Khirbet al-Hadidiya, the agency reported.
That order was followed by land-clearing work, after which settlers set up an outpost in the area, which is considered illegal under international law.
The Jordan Valley, which lies in the occupied West Bank, has been under Israeli military control since the 1967 Middle East war, and Palestinians there have long disputed land and access rights.
