Israeli troops hold two olive pickers and seize tractors near Yatta
Activists said the detained men are brothers, and the troops also raided a home in the area and issued a requisition order.
Israeli forces detained two brothers on Saturday as they picked olives on their land near Yatta, south of Hebron, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.
Activist Osama Makhamreh, who opposes settlements, identified the detained men as Munther and Nadhir Mohammad al-Adra.
Rateb al-Jabour, coordinator of the Popular Committees Against the Wall and Settlements east of Yatta, said troops also pursued tractor drivers and vehicle owners in the area.
Al-Jabour said the troops ordered the drivers to unload livestock feed they were carrying before taking their tractors and vehicles.
Several vehicles and farm tractors were seized in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, he said.
Early on Saturday, Israeli forces also raided the home of Thaer Jawad Sultan and handed him a military order requisitioning the house for several hours.
The house sits opposite a newly established settlement outpost built on Palestinian-owned land, next to al-Rayyan Mosque on Jabal al-Rahma.
Masafer Yatta is a cluster of herding communities in the South Hebron Hills that has been at the center of long-running disputes over land, demolitions and settler activity.
The olive harvest is a major seasonal activity for Palestinian farming families in the West Bank, and access to land during the harvest has often been a point of friction.
